Final hill training before the taper towards the big Pinarello race on the 15th July - so I decided to go for it on the Burway. This hill has been on my mind for 2 years - ever since I walked up it at the end of a very hilly 60km March Audax.
Even today with fresh legs I was daunted by the steepness - and length of the steepness. But slogged on and got up it!
Brilliant end to my preperation for the big one in two weeks time - and a relief to get here without injury or over-training - all I need to do now is rest up and get everything prepared for the trip.
