Col d'Aubisque

This is a 1,247m climb starting from Argeles-Gazost deep in the Pyrenees.
There's a steep pull (8%) out of the valley, not helped this Saturday by loads of cars speeding past.
You then get to a flat, hanging valley with several villages and spectacular views of the high mountains.
At the end of this you start a second bit of proper climbing up to the Col du Soulor at 1,473m.
You drop off this Col and traverse easily the most spectacular high mountain road - a ledge cut into a cliff with 100m drop and really no safety barriers.
Once past that scary road the final climb to Aubisque is a relief.
Overall: a great climb, easy and with rewarding views, just don't be put off by the car busy early bits. More pictures to follow as they are processed.
