First really high mountains today saw lots of small gains for GC contenders. Almost all of the top 10 people behind leader Rigoberto managed to gain some time on him. Ominously, Nario Quintana made up the most with a 25sec gain.
Big loser of the day was Steve Morabito who was 9th this morning but is now 13th with 2 and a half minutes added to his deficit. Ivan Basso faded another minute off contention (now at 6min down).
More high hill tomorrow, then a rest day on Monday, then the Gavia and Stelvio climbs on Tuesday...
