Arrived late afternoon (Friday) in La Chambre. Just in time to scope out the two major climbs that start inside the town.

I'm staying at the Ibis Budget Hotel which appears to have 50% road cyclist occupancy. They have a room for bikes to be stored in.
The round-a-bout outside the front door has two signs - one for the Col de Madeleine and one for the Col de la Croix de Fer. So that's a total of 2996m of climbing available from the carpark...
