Columbus tubes - I suppose the Italian equivalent of Reynolds tubing - crop up all over Italian cycling history and have been used by Coppi, Anquetil, Baldini, Riviere, Bracke, Ritter, Mercx, Moser, Oersted, as well as an extensive pre-history in Italian aircraft frames and even chassis for racing cars (Maserati and Ferrari).
